Shanna Morgan, founder of Brighter Pastures, is a dedicated Equine Scientist and trauma-informed Life Coach with a lifelong passion for horses. Growing up, Shanna immersed herself in the world of horses, spending countless hours riding, training, and competing in various disciplines. With a Bachelor of Science in Equine Science and a minor in Early Childhood Education, she possesses a solid foundation in both equine behavior and teaching methodologies. Building on this foundation, Shanna pursued further education, earning a Master of Science in Equine Reproductive Physiology, which deepened her understanding of horse physiology and health.
Complementing her academic achievements, Shanna holds a Master Practitioner Life Coaching Certification, specializing in neurolinguistics, Gestalt therapy, transformation, and empowerment. This certification equips her with valuable tools to guide individuals through their personal growth journeys, leveraging the transformative power of equine interaction.
Throughout her career, Shanna has been fortunate to receive mentorship from several esteemed clinicians. These experiences have enriched her approach to horsemanship and informed her understanding of the therapeutic potential of horses.
Inspired by her early experiences coaching children in horseback riding and witnessing the profound impact of equine interaction on their well-being, Shanna founded Brighter Pastures. Her mission is twofold: to provide exceptional instruction in horsemanship and to facilitate personal growth and healing through equine interaction. With her compassionate demeanor and deep connection with horses, Shanna has created a safe and supportive environment for people of all ages to journey toward well-being.
Anna Steffanini
Apprentice Equine Assisted Coach
Anna first got involved with Brighter pastures in 2019 as a volunteer/intern, and after graduating from the University of Florida with her B.S. in Equine Science, she stayed on as an apprentice equine assisted coach. Her dedication shines as she dives into equine assisted learning and coaching, helping to make magic happen for both humans and horses.
Anna's dream is to become an equine assisted therapist, using the profound connection between horses and humans and her passion for serving others. She's seen the transformation in herself as a client at Brighter Pastures, and now she's determined to give back. Her journey has taken her to UF as a Career Coach for Campus Inclusion, and now she's setting her sights on Occupational Therapy school. Her ultimate goal? To create a space where people of all backgrounds can experience the magic of horse-human connection, healing, and growing toward their dreams.
